Children’s Respite Care Center is “Going Green”

CRCC has made a commitment to make a positive impact on the environment with its “going green” initiative. As we move forward it is our goal to succeed in making the overall CRCC environment healthier for the children and employees. Additionally, we will educate employees, clients and their families on the benefits of becoming more environmentally friendly. CRCC will promote “going green” lesson plans and eco-friendly activities which will focus on reducing waste, recycling or reusing items.

Current areas of focus:

  • Reduce waste by providing appropriate means for recycling items such as plastics, cardboard, office paper, steel and aluminum.
  • Preserve clean air, soil and water by ensuring the chemicals used are environmentally friendly and making changes as allowed.
  • Improve energy efficiency by monitoring and decreasing the amount of electricity and water used throughout the buildings.
  • Promote a healthy environment by providing clean air, healthy foods for the children and a safe environment for everyone.
